A two minute interlude from Canadian disco maven Gino Soccio's 1979 breakthrough debut album Outline serves as the launching pad for Chicago DJ and producer Euhu's latest "redu." Built out into a full-fledged modern house track approaching seven minutes, Euhu takes advantage of the sparse percussion, delicate piano and atmospheric sounds of the original, filling the sonic spectrum with thumping kick drums, shimmering hi-hats, and subtly syncopated analog synths.

The song's simple lyrics take on greater relevance given today's stark reality where social distancing, shelter-in-place, and self quarantine are being practiced throughout the world. Even in isolation, one can still dance, while acknowledging the emotional frustration which can accompany the lack of having company.
